We Are All Locomoting No - Where
August 8th, 2008This post deals mainly with:
- cruise
For hours, we have not realized some other transport and on Sat, we went through a fishing vessel, in the early good afternoon. All of sudden she poped out up at the skyline. We engaged her on the radio detection and ranging and discovered she was not travelling at all. It was a fishing vessel, that appeared like vibrating on one spot. We were speeding on our monumental green kite, automatic pilot set to postdate the air current, about 155 levels off wind, a course that took us header consecutive for the fishing vessel. is it not uneven, that for hours on end you dont realise any former transport, and when one is spied, it ever appears to be on a hit course?
Anyhow, there she was, only vacillating on one place, not travelling at all. She made not drag any fishing gear, only put there. We named them on the radio, in English, No response. In French. No response. In Portuguese. No response. In Spanish. No response.. It was not until we hied past her, a hundred meters off her bow, that all of a sudden we discovered a vocalization on the radio. It appeared the gang only saw us the second we went across her.. The hombre on the radio vocalized surprised Belike he was on watch on the span, and held snoozed off, until he saw us speeding by. I mean, lay yourself in his place, here you are, in the middle of the Atlantic, taking care your own business concern, not realizing anyone or anything for hours on end and all of a sudden, this sailing boat with this monolithic green sail comes up racing past you..
In any event, they were very well. They were Portuguese fishers (what is a Portuguese fishing vessel making so far south in the middle of nowhere, we wonder?). They inquired who we were, where we were locomoting to.. We replied we were on our way to Enshrine Lucia.. And he expressed but you are moving the incorrect way, Kriss Kringle Lucia is slow you… It occupied us some clip to explicate we were not locomoting to La Ilha de Santa Claus Luzia, one of the islands in the Ness Verdes indeed today one mean solar day off our stern - but to St.Lucia in the Caribbean..
So we split, with the fishing vessel went forth in our wake. We were inquisitive what the hell on earth a Portuguese fishing vessel was making so far south, only vibrating on the place in the mid Atlantic. And they were belike speculative what a navigation vessel was making ford the Atlantic only to go from one from one St.Lucia to the former St.Lucia.
