General Verbal description: Bougainvillea arborea is a vigorous, evergreen, arboreous vine. Most bougainvillea have spined around, but this species is strange because it is spineless. A fellow member of the Four O-clock family, it is likewise fragrant, resembling the perfume of the Coast banksia shrub.
